The Islam appeared in Aràbia from the Christian time in the 7th century with the appearance of the prophet Mahoma. A century after his death, the Islamic State spread from the Atlantic Ocean to Central Asia. This empire did not stay joined for a long time; the new system of government soon derived in a civil war known by the historians of the Islam as the Fitna, and later affected by a second Fitna. After this, rival dynasties claimed the caliphate, or leadership of the Muslim world and many states and Islamic empires offered only a symbolic obedience to the caliph, incapable of unifying the Islamic world.
Situation
The Islamic geography is usually located in the North of Africa, Middle East, Indonesia (expect India, where it is a great minority, more than 110 millions of Muslims), Central Asia, South of Asia, some of the Pacific isles and the Indian Ocean. The Islam is also spread in other countries, such as Balkans, south and center of Russia, (Chechnya, Dagestan and Tatars tan), Occidental Africa and Europe (Germany, France, United Kingdom, with large numbers of immigrants from Maghreb and Turkey), Caribbean Isles, Trinidad and Tobago, etc.
The Islam has suffered a big expansion due to the petrol-monarchies from the Persian Gulf.
